  Role Overview

  The Product Engineering Leader will oversee the design, development, and manufacturing of electronic products, ensuring innovation, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong technical expertise in electronics, leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to align engineering efforts with business objectives and customer requirements.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Define and execute engineering strategies for electronic product design and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor engineers across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing disciplines.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Product Development:
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle: concept, design, prototyping, validation, and mass production.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, UL, CE, RoHS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Manufacturing Integration:
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
  • Partner with contract manufacturers and suppliers to optimize production processes and reduce costs.
  • Technical Excellence:
  • Guide architecture decisions for electronic systems, PCB design, and embedded software integration.
  • Implement robust quality control and reliability testing protocols.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Provide clear updates on project timelines, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
  • Act as the technical liaison between engineering, operations, and customers.

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electronic product development and manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in PCB design, embedded systems, and electronic component selection.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (SMT, assembly, testing) and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
