Inventory Analyst Sr.
Summary
The Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for providing detailed insights into purchase price variance, manufacturing variances, and inventory analysis. This role involves solving and assisting with accounts payable-related issues and aims to optimize inventory management processes.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
· Analyze purchase price variance and manufacturing variances to identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Conduct thorough inventory analysis to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
· Solve and assist in resolving accounts payable-related issues to maintain smooth financial operations.
· Prepare and present detailed reports on inventory status and expense variances to management.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management practices.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
· Analyze account trends and explain variances versus forecast and budget.
· Construct and manage budget and forecast processes related to inventory and expenses.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory analysis, financial analysis, or a related field.
· Proven experience with inventory management systems and ERP software.
· Experience in preparing and managing budgets and forecasts.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
· Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Educational background in Accounting or Business Administration.
· Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
