  Job Summary

  We are seeking a Tooling Engineer to lead tooling and mold-related activities for new product introductions and production support. This role is responsible for mold development, supplier coordination, tooling qualification, process feasibility assessments, and ongoing mold maintenance management.

  Responsibilities

  • Lead mold-related activities for new product development projects.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies on new mold technologies and validate industrial feasibility through testing during the OTM process.
  • Evaluate mold and product architecture to ensure manufacturability, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Define mold specifications, manage mold RFQs, and participate in supplier selection for tooling and molding activities.
  • Ensure mold design and fabrication comply with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Manage supplier sample submissions and validate mold modifications.
  • Verify feasibility, cost, and lead time of mold changes during product validation phases.
  • Confirm tooling-related parameters, including part weight, sprue/runner weight, machine tonnage, cycle time, and other manufacturing data.
  • Qualify molds and transfer industrial documentation to manufacturing plants.
  • Oversee mold maintenance, molding capacity management, and backup mold development for production tools.
    
    

  Qualifications

  • Advanced English proficiency is required (written, verbal, and technical communication).
  • Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Tooling Design, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in tooling production management or injection molding tooling.
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD and UG/NX software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams is preferred.
