General Summary
Develop and implement annual purchasing strategies for raw materials and services for the Business Unit. Manage and ensure supplier productivity, quality, inventory control, on-time delivery, cost savings, and performance based on company-established metrics. This role aligns strategy and coordinates execution in collaboration with departments such as engineering, manufacturing, and sales. It drives efforts to secure competitive terms for all required materials and services, with a constant focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in supply chain management, negotiations, supply strategy development and execution, globalization, and project management and lifecycles. Ensure all suppliers comply with corporate standards and policies, as well as environmental and social responsibility requirements. Conduct periodic supplier reviews to verify compliance with CommScope policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include sourcing raw materials and products according to specifications and in compliance with company guidelines.
Responsible for supplier development based on market needs, focusing on supporting Business Unit operations—including identifying and developing local suppliers and solutions.
Provides support regarding manufactured part requirements as a critical component of product solutions.
Supplier Development Strategy: Collaborates with regional operations leaders, the direct supervisor, raw material buyers, and regional leaders to build regional raw material sourcing strategies.
Ensures that sourcing strategies and plans provide the necessary support for the organization. Ensures that all suppliers and sourcing strategies align with the "true total cost" strategy, accounting for inventory, transportation, customs, import duties, and time. Actively participates in and influences material procurement decisions impacting regional manufacturing in coordination with corporate headquarters; this involvement must address the business’ current and future needs while remaining aligned with regional requirements and the company's strategic direction.
Strategic processes managed: - Responsible for identifying and analyzing existing and potential regional suppliers for the company
, covering both centralized and decentralized materials and services.
Responsible for collaborating directly with customers, operations teams (planning, engineering, purchasing), and R&D teams to align supplier strategies with specific direct materials based on product and customer needs.
Negotiate and competitively manage regional pricing for all raw materials, as well as sourcing activities for a specific group of materials; ensure that the pricing and service levels required by the business unit are reflected in final supplier contracts.
Maintain the ERP system (pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, selected suppliers, payment terms, etc.).
Ensure that the supplier contract documentation and administration process complies with global and regional specifications, making negotiated prices, terms, and conditions visible to sourcing teams across all business units; ensure contracts are renegotiated and renewed prior to expiration.
Ensure the supply chain for specific materials generates raw material cost savings within the Annual Plan; actively work on identifying new projects and analyzing/adjusting risks within this supply chain.
Accountability / Impact
Responsible for the materials supply chain and supporting new product introductions; also plays a critical role in manufacturing process transitions, product relocations, cost reduction initiatives, and new project opportunities.

Required Qualifications for Consideration
- Bachelor’s Degree in related area.
- 5-8+ years’ experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in English language (written and spoken).
- Experience in SAP
- Able to travel domestically – international.

- Procurement certification.
