An IT Senior Engineer designs, implements, and manages complex technology systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. They bridge the gap between business needs and deep technical architecture, acting as the lead technical authority, project manager, and mentor for junior and mid-level IT staff.
Core Responsibilities
• System Architecture & Design: Architect, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure, including networks, cloud environments and enterprise software.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Guide technical strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security protocols, data privacy measures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Optimization & Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex performance bottlenecks and system failures, implementing permanent, scalable fixes.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Manage IT budgets, evaluate hardware/software vendors, and oversee procurement lifecycles.
Qualifications & Key Skills
• Experience: Typically, 8+ years of progressive experience in IT, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Escrituraing (Python, Bash, or PowerShell), operating systems , and infrastructure as code.
• Cloud & DevOps: Deep understanding of containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud computing architectures.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to translate complex tech concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
