  Costing Engineer
  What to Expect • Creating, maintaining, and developing cost calculations for new projects, product changes, and series products. • Evaluating RFQs technically and economically, including feasibility checks, manufacturing concepts, investments, and cost drivers.
  • Coordinating manufacturability assessments independently and aligning with internal and external interfaces (including customers and international locations).
  • Analyzing components, materials, processes, cycle times, tooling, and investments as the basis for reliable calculations.
  • Developing and evaluating manufacturing concepts considering costs, efficiency, feasibility, and capacities.
  • Conducting should-cost, benchmark, and cost analyses, including identifying optimization potential (Design-to-Cost) along the value chain.
  • Performing post-calculations, including target-performance comparisons, variance analyses, and deriving improvement measures.
  • Supporting sales during bid and price negotiations, including make-or-buy, ROI, and profitability analyses, as well as RFQ tracking (KPIs, status, risks).
  What We Are Looking For
  • Completed degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, plastics technology, production engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in cost engineering, industrial/manufacturing engineering, technical calculation, or within the automotive environment is an advantage.
  • Technical understanding: good comprehension of manufacturing processes, manufacturability, tooling, materials, and investments, as well as interest in working with technical drawings, 3D data, and CAD.
  • Tools & systems: proficient in Excel; experience with SAP, calculation systems, or Teamcenter Product Cost Management (TCPCM) is a plus.
   • Language skills: very good written and spoken English.
