  Position Summary:

  Responsible for directing all engineering activities in the plant with major emphasis on optimized throughput, quality, costing, and manufacturability. Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems.

  Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team to maximize productivity and assembly process efficiency, yield improvement, productivity improvement programs and cost saving programs.
  • Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
  • Ensure that engineering strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs.
  • Ensure effective communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements.
  • Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables.
  • Spearhead all processes and engineering related activities; initiate innovative ways for continuous improvement.
  • Lead collaboration efforts across the relevant functional teams to ensure team effectiveness.
  • Build a strong team that is highly motivated, exhibits excellent cohesion and teamwork to accomplish total customer satisfaction.
  • Support requirement or engineering activities such as Risk Management, Configuration management; ISO documentation and other related systems / processes with the aim of ensuring integration and coherence.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.

  Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Demonstrable competence with warehouse management organization, functions, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Solid experience in manufacturing environments; contract manufacturing is optimal.
  • Exposure and proficiency with an ERP system are preferred; including data entry skills, data entry management; and a holistic understanding of data processing.
  • A high bias for action. Proven ability to make sound decisions while ensuring inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff in various departments and levels.
  • Interact positively with others.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Auto-Cad, Qpulse (QMS), SolidWorks 2D/3D software,
  • Project Management: Proficient in setting, tracking, and meeting deadlines and KPI’s.
  • Process Improvements: Refining agile processes, workflows, and tools to boost team efficiency and productivity.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in supervising a team of engineers to perform new process evaluation and set-up for manufacturing.
  • Experience in process capability improvement and cost reduction program.
  • Strong knowledge in manufacturing assembly process and LEAN manufacturing.
  • Auto-Cad Experience Required
  • Efficient in MS Office, Qpulse, Epicor

  Physical Demands:

  • Typically, work will be performed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with occasional travel to customer facilities to conduct field service work as required.
  • Proximity with co-workers and contact with internal customers and vendors will require frequent face-to-face, telephone, and electronic interaction.
