  GENERAL DEEscrituraION:

  An SMT Programming Engineer develops, optimizes, and maintains software programs for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machinery, specifically pick-and-place, SPI, and AOI machines, to ensure efficient PCB assembly. They create machine routines, troubleshoot production issues, define thermal profiles, and optimize cycle times for high-quality production.

  BASIC DUTIES:

  • Machine Programming: Generate, debug, and optimize SMT pick-and-place, solder paste printer, and inspection (SPI/AOI) programs using CAM software (e.g., ASM, Fuji, Mentor Graphics).
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve manufacturing processes to reduce cycle times and reduce defect rates.
  • NPI Support: Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by preparing, testing, and validating manufacturing, prototypes, and first-article inspections.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of production issues, such as misalignment or solder defects, and implement corrective actions.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions and machine parameters.

  EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY REQUIRED:

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of SMT manufacturing processes, electronic components, and PCBA requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with SMT programming software (e.g., Siemens Siplace, Fuji Flexa, Koh Young).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for both software programming and hardware issues.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data and utilize tools like SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • English 85 +
