    Tool Crib Coordinator 

    Position Summary

    The Tool Crib Coordinator is responsible for managing all spare parts and materials assigned to the Tool Crib. This role ensures full control over part availability by identifying material needs, initiating requisitions, receiving and verifying parts, maintaining accurate system entries in SAP and Oracle, and distributing components to the technical team. Maintaining 100% data integrity ensures reliable equipment uptime and operational continuity.


    Essential Functions

    Inventory Custodianship

    • Receive, verify, and store all incoming spare parts and materials.
    • Maintain an organized and efficient storage area following standard workplace practices.

    Min/Max Management & Collaboration

    • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders to define and update Min/Max inventory levels.
    • Coordinate with supporting teams to ensure SAP parameters remain aligned with operational needs.

    Inventory Maintenance

    • Monitor inventory levels according to established Min/Max thresholds.
    • Replenish stock accurately and on time to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

    Requisitions & Demand Management

    • Initiate purchase requisitions for spare parts and technician tools based on system triggers and team requirements.
    • Ensure requisitions submitted to Procurement are complete and accurate.

    System Accuracy (SAP & Oracle)

    • Execute all inventory movements, issues, receipts, and adjustments with precision.
    • Maintain accurate alignment between physical inventory and digital system records.

    Operational and Vendor Support

    • Coordinate with vendors for part identification and technical verification.
    • Support maintenance programs by ensuring consistent availability of required parts.

    Cycle Count Program Management

    • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts.
    • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy through continuous auditing and reconciliation.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree (required).

    Experience

    • 2–4 years of experience in tool crib management or MRO inventory functions.
    • Proven experience performing SAP and Oracle inventory transactions.
    • Preferred: Experience in high?volume or reliability?focused operational environments.
    • Demonstrated experience managing cycle count programs and resolving discrepancies.

    Technical Skills

    • Intermediate to advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
    • Ability to identify mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components (motors, sensors, bearings, valves).
    • Understanding of FIFO, safety stock, and inventory valuation principles.
    • Knowledge of 5S methodology (preferred).

    Soft Skills & Physical Requirements

    • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross?functional teams.
    • Fluent in English and Spanish for effective communication.
    • Ability to lift heavy parts, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • 100% inventory accuracy through cycle count execution.
    • Inventory maintained within approved Min/Max thresholds.
    • Timely and accurate creation of purchase requisitions.
    • Zero delays caused by missing parts.
