Solicita: Global Director Engineering

  Responsibilities:

  
  

  • Coordinate the analysis and root cause analysis of nonconformities, as well as the development of corrective actions necessary to ensure that defects do not recur.
  • Organize and lead global engineering meetings.
  • Define and communicate the engineering team's strategies and objectives.
  • Evaluate the use of existing and future technologies for the production of reliable products and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to quality assurance, cost reduction, make/buy, and efficient manufacturing solutions.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing processes to achieve cost, quality, and capacity targets across all manufacturing plants.
  • Lead strategic improvement projects to support the continuous improvement of the company's manufacturing processes globally.
  • Ensure a work environment and processes that adhere to global best practices.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to successfully implement proposed initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure standardized and up-to-date work instructions for all manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Coordinate and document compliance audits at all plants.
  • Ensure the implementation of a reliable process, change management system and coordinate process validation
  • Participate in pre-production and product planning.
  • Participate in pre-production testing of new equipment and processes.
  • Work closely with the maintenance department and provide ongoing technical support to production.
  • Supervise engineering personnel at all plants through leadership and accountability.
  • Assign tasks to personnel for development processes and designated special projects.
  • Coordinate and verify the execution of assigned tasks at each plant, in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Provide and record training to personnel assigned to engineering and designated special projects.
  • Evaluate the performance of personnel assigned to engineering and designated special projects.

  
  

  Qualification Criteria

  
  

  • Excellent leadership skills. 
  • Detain at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in process development as a Production or Process Engineer.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with multi-site organizations.
  • Willingness to travel. 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
