Senior Accountant – Juárez Operations
Location: Juárez, Mexico
Department: Finance / Controllership
Reports to: Regional Controller
We are seeking a Senior Accountant who views financial integrity as the bedrock of operational excellence. In a high-output manufacturing environment, "good enough" is a risk we do not take. You will be the architect of our internal controls, the guardian of our general ledger, and the technical expert ensuring every decimal aligns with IFRS, GAAP, and local statutory requirements.
This is not a role for a spectator. You will own the monthly close, spearhead audit readiness, and provide the analytical rigor necessary to transform raw data into strategic intelligence.
Core Responsibilities
Your impact will be defined by your ability to bring order to complexity across five critical pillars:
- Financial Controllership: Lead the month-end system close, ensuring all journal entries and financial schedules are executed with precision and pace.
- Compliance & Technical Rigor: Act as the primary authority on IFRS and GAAP. You will manage monthly/annual tax calculations and ensure full adherence to local legal requirements.
- Asset Management: Oversee the lifecycle of company investments. This includes the management of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs), depreciation runs, and leading physical inventories to protect our physical capital.
- Audit & Internal Control: Serve as the lead point of contact for external auditors. You will design, implement, and monitor robust department controls to mitigate risk and prevent fraud.
- Operational Partnership: Reconcile complex payroll and benefit accounts and provide high-quality data to cross-functional leaders to support data-driven decision-making.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
- Technical Expertise: Deep command of IFRS, Mexican GAAP, and tax compliance. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Excel is non-negotiable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, or similar (MD preferrable)
- Mindset: You possess the discipline to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy. You are someone who prefers the clarity of a fixed process over the anxiety of disorganized data.
- Communication: Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to translate complex financial findings into actionable insights for the Plant Controller and external stakeholders.
Why Join our Team?
We do not offer an "easy" path; we offer a meaningful one. You will join a World Class company, a lean, high-performing finance team where your work directly impacts the growth and sustainability of our Juárez facility. If you value professional structure and the opportunity to leave a legacy of financial excellence, this is your place.
