Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Business System Analyst to join our team at Sensience. The incumbent will work with other Business Systems Analysts and create high-quality Oracle applications and solutions per our customers’ requirements. This role owns functional design, configuration, and customization of Oracle E-Business Suite Manufacturing, Quality, and Traceability solutions, with a strong emphasis on shop-floor execution, device integrations, and regulatory compliance.
Position Responsibilities
- Create business process flow and functional specifications/user stories.
- Analyze required business process improvements and assist with required change management practices to facilitate the necessary business process changes to meet the future state designs.
- Assist with gap identification, gap prioritization, and gap solution design efforts after business requirements gathering and initial systems configuration and systems walkthrough with key business members.
- Own functional configuration and customizations across Oracle EBS Manufacturing, Quality, and Traceability modules.
- Design and support shop-floor traceability solutions including lot/serial capture, labeling, and scanning.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and IT teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Provide Level 3 production support and participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with technical resources to plan and develop system flows.
- Participate in code reviews and quality assurance procedures and provide technical expertise to business users of our application.
Detailed Oracle EBS Manufacturing & Quality Qualifications
- Hands-on functional expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite Manufacturing modules including Work in Process (WIP), Bills of Material (BOM), Inventory, Oracle Quality (QA), and Cost Management in discrete manufacturing environments.
- Extensive experience configuring and supporting Oracle EBS lot and serial control, genealogy, forward and backward traceability, and compliance reporting.
- Strong functional understanding of Oracle Quality concepts including inspection plans, collection plans, results entry, non-conformance management, quality holds, and material dispositioning.
- Experience designing and supporting shop-floor execution solutions leveraging barcode scanning, label printing, handheld devices, and operator terminals integrated with Oracle EBS.
- Ability to translate regulatory, customer-specific, and IR-ISO requirements into enforceable Oracle EBS system configurations, controls, and audit evidence.
- Experience supporting integrations between Oracle EBS and shop-floor systems such as test equipment, labeling platforms, MES-adjacent solutions, and custom manufacturing applications.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing transactions including material issues and returns, WIP moves, completions, scrap, rework, and backflushing.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve data integrity issues across manufacturing and quality modules, including development of reconciliation and data cleanup Escrituras.
- Strong testing discipline, including creation of functional test Escrituras, regression testing for manufacturing and quality processes, and validation of traceability controls.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle development or software development roles.
- Proficiency in Oracle tools and technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaEscritura, and other programming languages.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Quick problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.
- Highly proficient in written and spoken communication in both English.
- Familiarity with shop-floor device integrations and label printing solutions.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (industrial, automotive, appliance, aerospace).
