  Role Summary The Cost Estimator and Quotation Program Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing quotation processes for new and existing programs. This role acts as the key liaison between PMO, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to develop accurate, competitive, and well-structured cost structures. The position requires strong financial acumen, project leadership skills, and the ability to present and defend complex data to senior management and corporate stakeholders in English.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing quotation projects, from initial RFQ intake through final customer submission.

  • Collect, validate, and consolidate cost data from Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance.

  • Develop detailed cost models, including Labor, Materials, Overhead, Tooling, Capital investment, and Logistics.

  • Structure complete business cases aligned with Nidec financial and operational standards.

  • Coordinate internal quotation reviews with senior management and corporate teams, addressing risks, assumptions, margins, and capacity.

  • Present and defend quotations and financial assumptions to high-level stakeholders in advanced English.

  • Ensure quotations meet customer requirements while maintaining profitability and feasibility.

  • Act as project lead during the quotation phase, managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.

  • Support new program launches by ensuring cost and quotation alignment during handover to execution teams.

  • Continuously improve quotation processes, templates, and cost methodologies.

  Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing cost analysis, RFQ processes, or PMO environments within manufacturing or maquiladora operations.

  • Advanced English (Mandatory): Ability to present, explain, and defend data to senior and corporate leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and financial analysis.

  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Engineering.

  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and structuring skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  Preferred Experience

  • Experience in automotive, industrial, or electromechanical manufacturing environments.

  • Background as Project Coordinator, New Projects Coordinator, or Senior Cost Analyst.

  • Exposure to corporate or regional approval processes within multinational or matrix organizations.
