New Product Introduction Engineer
Coordinates and aligns multiple related projects to achieve strategic organizational goals and maximize ROI.
They are responsible for defining program scope, setting budgets, managing interdependencies, and communicating with stakeholders. This role connects high-level strategy with day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Define, implement, and maintain program initiatives that align with organizational objectives.
Project Coordination: Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring goals are met through, tracking, and risk management.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, risks, and performance reporting.
Standards: Establish and maintain program controls, standards, and best practices and optimize the use of resources across various projects.
Core Responsibilities & Tasks
- Design-to-Manufacturing Transition: Validating, testing, and scaling new products from prototypes to high-volume manufacturing.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Reviewing product designs for manufacturability, inspect ability, and reliability, offering feedback to design teams to improve production efficiency.
- Process Development: Defining assembly procedures, work instructions and managing pilot lines.
- Quality & Troubleshooting: Managing Engineering Change Notices (ECN), performing First Article Inspections, and handling Material Review Boards (MRB) to resolve production issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in project and program introduction and coordination
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and understand how projects fit into long-term company goals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting to executive leadership.
- Technical Skills: ERP/MRP system experience - Experience in maquiladora / IMMEX manufacturing environments. -Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) proficiency required. (Mandatory)
