Solicita: Fiber Optics Focus Factory Manager


  • Descripción y Requisitos

    We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optics Focus Factory Manager to provide full operational leadership for our Fiber Optics manufacturing value stream in Ciudad Juárez. This role has end-to-end responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, staffing, materials flow, and continuous improvement within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

    The position is managerial and strategic, focused on building a stable, scalable, and audit-ready operation, leading Supervisors and Team Leaders across all fiber optic production processes.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operational Leadership

    Lead all fiber optic manufacturing processes, including cutting, termination, polishing, inspection, testing, and final packaging.

    Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with customer demand.

    Balance labor, equipment, tooling, and materials to meet throughput, yield, and cost objectives.

    Monitor and drive KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, uptime, and WIP.

    Identify capacity constraints and implement mitigation or expansion plans.

    People Management
    Directly manage Production Supervisors and Team Leaders.

    Define staffing requirements and support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.

    Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support employee development and succession planning.

    Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

    Quality & Customer Compliance

    Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, BOMs, and fiber optic assembly standards.

    Oversee control plans, inspections, testing, and nonconforming material disposition.

    Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.


    • Maintain readiness for internal, external, and customer audits.
      Safety, EHS & Regulatory Compliance

    • Own safety performance for fiber optic operations.

    • Ensure compliance with NOM-STPS regulations and company EHS policies.

    • Promote a proactive safety culture and sustain 5S discipline.

    • Ensure proper material control, traceability, and inventory accuracy.

    • Coordinate with Materials, Warehouse, and Logistics to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

    • Maintain audit-ready documentation and systems.
      Equipment & Continuous Improvement


    • Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment utilization.

    • Support capital planning, validation, and commissioning of new equipment.
    • Lead Lean, Kaizen, and cost-reduction initiatives to improve productivity and scalability.

    Education & Experience
    Required


    • Proven experience managing manufacturing operations.


    • Leadership experience managing supervisors or team leaders.

    • Strong knowledge of fiber optic assembly processes, testing, and equipment.

    • Experience in maquiladora / IMMEX manufacturing environments.

    • ERP/MRP system experience.

    • Strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills.

    • Results-oriented, professional leadership style.
      Preferred

    • 5+ years of experience in fiber optic manufacturing.

    • 3+ years in a production or operations management role.


    • Experience scaling operations or launching new product lines.

    • Technical degree or training in electronics, fiber optics, manufacturing, or industrial engineering (or equivalent experience).
