Solicita: Sr. Customs & Logistics Manager


  • Descripción y Requisitos

    Industry Preference: Electronic Manufacturing / Maquiladora

    1. Principal Accountabilities

    • Lead and manage Customs & Logistics department (import/export, IMMEX)
    • Ensure full compliance with Mexican Customs Law, IMMEX regulations, USMCA, and related trade programs
    • Oversee customs brokers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers; manage performance and cost
    • Develop and maintain import/export procedures, SOPs, and internal controls
    • Drive process improvement for cycle time, cost, compliance, and inventory accuracy
    • Manage audits (SAT, Customs, internal, external) and corrective action plans
    • Partner with Supply Chain, Materials, Manufacturing, Finance, and Compliance teams
    • Support new product introduction (NPI), supplier onboarding, and routing strategies
    • Build, coach, and cultivate team capability; succession and talent development
    • Promote agile mindset, innovation, and digitalization in logistics and customs processes

    1. Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field

    1. Experience

    • 7–10 years of progressive experience in Customs & Logistics within Electronic Manufacturing / Maquiladora
    • Strong background in electronic products or high-mix manufacturing preferred
    • Proven people management experience (team leadership, performance management)
    • Hands-on experience with customs audits, broker management, and compliance programs
    • Experience working with US–Mexico cross-border logistics operations

    1. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

    • In-depth knowledge of:
    • IMMEX program, Mexican Customs Law, Annex 24 & 30 USMCA trade compliance and cross-border regulations
    • Strong department management and team development skills
    • Leadership capability with focus on accountability and results
    • Cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management
    • Agile, innovative, and continuous-improvement mindset
    • Process management and problem-solving (Lean / PDCA preferred)
    • Strong analytical, planning, and decision-making skills
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills

    1. Certificates / Licenses / Registrations

    • Valid Mexican Customs-related certifications a plus (e.g., trade compliance, logistics)
    • USMCA / Trade Compliance certification a plus
    • APICS, Six Sigma, or Lean certification a plus

    1. Language Requirements Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory
