We are currently seeking a Process Engineer Molding
We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineer Molding with a background in the automotive industry to join our Manufacturing team in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. This critical role ensures the optimization, documentation, and control of our plastic injection molding processes, driving quality and production efficiency.
Job DeEscrituraion
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the molding process, from defining parameters to implementing continuous improvements, ensuring the achievement of Key Process Indicators (KPIs) in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Human Resources. This position reports directly to the Molding Business Unit Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Content
Technical Leadership: Define, document, and optimize molding process parameters, die rotation schedules, and work instructions (IP/OP) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Quality Management: Reduce scrap rate and PPM (parts per million), lead the technical portion of QRQC Level 2, and actively participate in the review and enhancement of PFMEAs.
Operational Efficiency: Conduct Cycle Time (CT) studies and ensure the availability of machinery and materials (4M) to meet required production volumes.
Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety rules, participating in incident investigations, and conducting drills.
Team Development: Supervise the Process Technician team, coordinate their training on work instructions and Critical to Quality (CTQs), and manage administrative aspects.
Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques and problem-solving methodologies like PDCA to drive operational excellence and process stability.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding and at least 3 years in the Automotive Industry.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Materials, Mechatronics, or Robotics). Candidates without a degree require 7 years of experience in a Process Engineering role.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards (TS 16949, VDA 6.3), PFMEA, QRQC, Poka-Yoke, and One Piece Flow.
Language: Intermediate to advanced English level (capable of speaking and writing).
