Job Summary:
Responsible for the end-to-end procurement process for assigned commodities. This role combines purchasing execution with supply planning analysis. You will determine what, when, and how much to buy based on MRP signals and consumption trends to maintain optimal inventory levels while ensuring operational continuity in a fast-paced packaging environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Material Planning & Analysis: Analyze MRP signals (in D365) and consumption trends to determine replenishment needs before stock-outs occur.
- Inventory Management: Manage safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead times in the system to ensure the planning logic remains accurate.
- PO Execution: Generate, review, and transmit purchase orders, ensuring alignment with the production schedule.
- Shortage Prevention: proactive review of "Clear to Build" reports to identify and mitigate material risks for upcoming orders.
- Supplier Management: Negotiate lead times and expedite deliveries. Monitor supplier performance (OTD).
- Master Data Integrity: Maintain accurate system parameters (MOQ, Lead Times, Costs) which directly impact the planning suggestions.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Purchasing with exposure to Materials Planning (Buyer/Planner profile).
- Solid experience with ERP systems (D365 or SAP) running MRP reports.
- Experience analyzing BOMs and inventory coverage (Days of Supply).
Technical Skills:
- English Level: Advanced (Required for negotiation and corporate reporting).
- Excel: Intermediate-Advanced (Must be comfortable analyzing data, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables to validate system suggestions).
- Understanding of Inventory Logic: Knowing how Lead Times and MOQs affect inventory value.
