We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leader to take on a critical leadership role in Cd. Juárez, MX. This position requires a proven leader capable of driving operational excellence across Safety, Quality, and Delivery in our high-volume injection molding facility.
The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day operations and administrative functions for a large team of up to 100 Associates/ production personnel & Engineering. I. Job Summary
As the Molding & Production, Leader you will serve as a foundational leader responsible for the comprehensive management of high-volume production areas within our state-of-the-art injection molding operations. This role is critical for driving operational excellence and achieving our key performance indicators (KPIs) across Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Delivery.
You will be directly responsible for the administration, leadership, and development of a large manufacturing workforce, managing a team of approximately 100 personnel. Your deep expertise in injection molding and exceptional leadership skills will be essential to foster a culture of continuous improvement, disciplined execution (3Q6), and on-time delivery.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Operational and KPI Management
Lead the achievement of all Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and ATOP15 targets, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
Ensure 100% adherence to the production schedule and on-time customer delivery.
Drive efficiency improvements and lead strategic initiatives to enhance Jobs Per Man-Hour (JPMH) and control scrap generation.
Oversee daily controls and generate comprehensive shift, daily, and monthly performance reports, sharing data and action plans with the entire Molding Team.
Control inventory levels (KanBan status / Days On Hand - DOH) to optimize flow and prevent disruptions.
2. Safety, Quality, and Environmental Leadership
Champion a zero-incident safety culture, conducting regular safety patrol walks, leading activities, and ensuring strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
Lead Quality control and improvement initiatives (Internal/Customer PPM, Scrap reduction), actively participating in Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) to immediately address incidents or quality defects.
Enforce rigorous audits of the DNA policy, including 3Q6S principles in all work areas and on all machinery.
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 environmental conservation principles, including proper waste segregation and equipment usage.
3. Personnel and Team Administration (80-90 Headcount)
Directly manage, develop, and administer a large team of 80 to 90 production employees, including Supervisors.
Oversee critical Human Resources functions for the team:
Talent Development: Develop and maintain the Training Matrix and Calendar, ensuring minimum program requirements (e.g., 3-3-3 program) are met.
Discipline & Retention: Generate attendance and turnover reports, conduct interviews to understand absenteeism/turnover ratios, and implement corrective action plans following internal labor regulations.
Culture: Promote a strong auto-quality culture, teamwork, recognition (Employee of the Month), and strict adherence to all rules and regulations.
4. Process Improvement and Escalation
Detect and resolve abnormal conditions that could affect quality, production, or safety.
Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Instructions.
Lead/Participate in accident/incident investigations and line restarts, ensuring timely QRQC closure.
III. Qualifications and Requirements
Education
Required: High School diploma with at least 10 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Robotics, or Industrial).
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in the Automotive Industry.
A minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a supervisor (or similar leadership role) in the Injection Molding Industry or minimum 3 years as Leader.
Candidates without a bachelor's degree require 7+ years of experience in a Supervisory capacity.
Minimum of 4 Years in Molding Administration.
Key Competencies
Technical: In-depth knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding processes, experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial gauges), and familiarity with SAP and Office Suite. Scientific Plastic Injection Molding training is a significant advantage.
Leadership & Interpersonal: Exceptional leadership, motivation, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills (TRESS).
Environment: Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment, including potentially hot or dirty conditions.
