    Position Summary

    The Manufacturing Process Engineer, NPI is responsible for the successful transition of new products from the R&D phase to full-scale manufacturing. This role is the critical link between Product Design, R&D, and Production, ensuring that all new products are launched on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead NPI Projects: Serve as the technical lead for New Product Introduction projects, managing the manufacturing process from concept to production ramp-up.
    • Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure products are designed for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing and assembly. This includes providing critical feedback on product designs.
    • Process Development: Define, develop, and validate manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and packaging. This involves creating detailed work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
    • Manufacturing Equipment and Tooling: Specify, procure, and qualify new equipment, fixtures, and tooling required for new product lines.
    • Validation and Qualification: Lead and execute process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and prepare comprehensive reports to ensure processes meet quality and regulatory requirements.
    • Risk Management: Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks in the manufacturing process.
    • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Quality, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure a smooth and seamless product launch.
    • Problem-Solving: Provide hands-on support to the production floor during pilot runs and the initial production phase, troubleshooting and resolving any manufacturing issues.


    Required Skills & Qualifications
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
    • Experience: 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI).
    • Technical Skills:
    • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems (ISO 9001).
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
    • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles.
    • Proven experience with FMEA and process validation methodologies.
    • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership.
