Manufacturing Industry – Intermex Sur Industrial ParkPosition Summary
Health professional responsible for providing timely medical care to employees, coordinating the activities of the medical department, and ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (License and professional certification required).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of medical experience within the manufacturing or maquiladora industry.
Proven experience in supervising medical staff.
Participation in regulatory compliance audits (NOM-035-STPS, STPS, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).
Languages:
Bilingual English/Spanish (spoken and written).
Technical Competencies:
Knowledge of ergonomics, occupational health, risk prevention, and first aid.
Experience in health and wellness campaigns.
Familiarity with occupational health and safety management systems (STPS, ISO preferred).
Interpersonal Skills:
Leadership and teamwork.
Effective communication and empathy.
Decision-making under pressure.
Strong organization and prioritization skills.
Supervise medical department staff, ensuring quality of service and compliance with company policies.
Provide immediate medical attention to employees in cases of workplace accidents or illnesses.
Implement and monitor health campaigns and preventive programs (vaccination, nutrition, ergonomics, mental health, etc.).
Ensure regulatory compliance in occupational health and safety:
NOM-035-STPS (Psychosocial Risk Factors)
NOM-030-STPS (Preventive Services for Occupational Safety and Health)
ISO audits and customer requirements.
Evaluate and improve ergonomic conditions in workstations.
Supervise and conduct audits in cafeterias and dining areas, ensuring compliance with hygiene, food quality, and sanitary safety standards.
Coordinate medical emergency responses within the facility.
Prepare and maintain occupational health reports and indicators.
Collaborate with Human Resources, Safety & Hygiene, and Environmental departments to promote employee well-being.
Certification in Occupational or Industrial Medicine.
Knowledge of emergency management and first aid brigades.
Experience participating in external audits (STPS, ISO, client audits).
Proactive approach focused on continuous improvement and employee well-being.
