  Job Purpose

  The Lean Engineer is responsible for creating a streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective work environment to enhance overall business performance and operational excellence.

  Job Summary

  1. Analyze manufacturing processes to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.
  2. Apply SMED techniques to reduce setup times and minimize unplanned downtime.
  3. Perform time studies and implement lean tools to optimize workflows.
  4. Evaluate machine speed and operator efficiency to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Design and optimize layouts to eliminate bottlenecks.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational processes with business objectives.
  7. Implement 5S and Kaizen initiatives to improve workplace organization and operational efficiency.
  8. Lead value stream mapping sessions to identify improvement opportunities and streamline processes.
  9. Develop and deliver training programs to instill lean principles across the workforce.

  Job Responsibilities

  1. OEE Data Correction: Analyze and correct data inaccuracies to improve equipment effectiveness tracking.
  2. Lead M360 TIPs Implementation: Plan, monitor, and track progress for continuous improvement initiatives.
  3. Weekly Reporting (OEE & M360): Generate and analyze performance reports for operations and projects.
  4. Performance Dialogues: Manage performance tracking mechanisms for identifying top issues and supervising improvement plans.
  5. Miscellaneous Activities: Support M360-related initiatives including training programs, certifications, Kaizen activities, and other identified improvement efforts.

  Requirements

  1. Lean Methodologies: 3+ years of hands-on experience with tools and methodologies like 5S, Kaizen, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, and Six Sigma.
  2. Manufacturing or Production Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a manufacturing or production environment.
  3. Problem-Solving & Data Analysis: Proficient in identifying root causes, analyzing data, and implementing effective solutions.
  4. Six Sigma certification (Green Belt/Black Belt) preferred.
  5. English & Spanish: Advanced proficiency in writing, listening, and speaking. Ability to communicate effectively in bilingual environments.
  6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  7. Advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  8. Expertise in project management and implementing process improvements.
