Primary Role is to manage the procurement of materials to meet production and customer demands, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient supply chain operations. Manage purchase orders and maintain strong vendor relationships, collaborating with Sales and Production teams.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or overstock situations, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels.
Procurement:
Issue purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Supplier Relationship and Negotiations Skills:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring reliable supply and optimal pricing negotiations to get profitable costs.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Identify and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Inventory Management:
Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
Functions:
Purchase materials from approved and qualified suppliers with sufficient lead time to prevent material shortages.
Demand analysis versus in-house inventory and materials in transit to maintain accurate coverage.
Ensure purchase orders placement on time.
Expedite solutions to any problems with delivery date, quality, quantity, and cost of purchased material.
