Sr. Materials Manager
Requirements:
• Career ends with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, and Industrial and Systems Engineering. Materials, Logistics, or similar. Preferred Master's Degree in Logistics, Sustainable Industrial Systems, Materials Sciences, etc.
• Previous experience in a similar position at least 5 years.
• Bilingual English Spanish
• Experience in profit and loss analysis
• Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement.
• Experience in Operations certifications with applicable standards.
Extensive experience in forecast analysis and budget formulation.
• Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain raw material and finished product inventories with a high level of certainty
• Main activity will be negotiating prices and terms with suppliers and transport companies.
• Interact with suppliers to effectively communicate compliance with metrics, performance feedback, and communicate changes in production projections.
• Document supply chain processes such as flowcharts, times and movements, critical processes and their responsibilities.
• Plan customer demand for two firm weeks and 12 weeks forecast.
• Ensure constant communication with clients to promptly evaluate and notify changes to the production plan.
• Ensure the correct mix and quantities of the purchased material to avoid excess and obsolete materials.
• Monitor SLOB (slow moving and obsolete material) levels to avoid costs associated with material obsolescence.
• Coordination of the shipping, planning and Customer Service department to fulfill shipments on time and ensure on-time deliveries to the customer.
• Ensure the traceability of raw materials from the moment of receipt to consumption on the production line
• Coordinate cycle counting process to ensure the integrity and reliability of inventories
• Select transportation routes to maximize efficiency by combining and consolidating routes, storage and distribution
• Maintain department metrics such as OTD, premium freight, inventory levels, inventory reliability levels (cycle counts), PPV
• Participate in the coordination of engineering changes,
