Solicita: Manufacturing Engineer

• Descripción y Requisitos

  Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing and maintaining the necessary equipment in good condition for the production line, analysis/repair and quality workstations, as well as keeping the required minimum and maximum spare parts updated according to the scheduled annual volume.

  • Identify, justify, and implement backup equipment required to prevent downtime and/or improve quality.

  • Responsible for supporting and guiding root cause analysis of rejected parts, and for designing and implementing poka-yokes to prevent the identified failure.

  • Required to develop new methods and equipment to improve assembly and process control.

  • Responsible for providing and maintaining documented and updated maintenance methods, programs, and procedures, based on manufacturing best practices.

  • Responsible for training the maintenance technician and production coordinator on new equipment and process equipment modifications.

  • Responsible for identifying and developing cost reduction programs using automation, SMED, VSM, and Lean methodologies.

  • Identify capital needs for equipment replacement due to condition, as well as capital needs to support the annual plan within the area of responsibility.

  • Provide tools and equipment for new prototypes and engineering pilot runs.

  • Any other responsibility included in the TJ Quality System procedures.

  
  Requirements
  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
    
  • Experience in problem-solving using analytical methods.
  • Ability to complete projects quickly and on time; must have strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify resources, and select equipment and suppliers.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish), minimum 70%.
