    Position Title: Operations Manager - Maintenance Programs

    Position Summary:

    This role is for an Operations Manager to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Manufacturing equipment, maintenance programs, and plant processes. This critical role will ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment, maximize efficiency on the production floor, and provide strategic leadership to our maintenance and engineering teams.

    This person will possess strong technical expertise, strategic thinking skills, and a proven ability to manage both direct and indirect teams across multiple facilities. This position requires occasional travel to our manufacturing sites and vendor locations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintenance Program Management

    • Develop and enforce standards for maintenance programs and equipment settings.

    • Establish programmatic goals, initiatives, and metrics to enhance operational performance.

    • Conduct work order trend analysis to identify root causes and solve recurring issues.

    • Oversee work order escalations and provide timely resolution.

    • Forecast work order volumes and ensure adequate resource planning and capacity.


    Equipment Performance & Reporting

    • Track, analyze, and report on equipment availability, utilization, and performance.

    • Create and present reports to senior leadership.

    • Lead efforts to improve equipment reliability and efficiency through root cause analysis and chronic downtime mitigation.


    Manufacturing Engineering Program Management

    • Analyze and scale current manufacturing process flows to enhance quality, cost reduction, and throughput.

    • Develop and implement new manufacturing methods based on needs of the business.


    Team Leadership & Vendor Management

    • Manage and develop the local facility's maintenance technician, manufacturing, and EHS engineer team.

    • Provide indirect leadership and support for maintenance teams at satellite facilities.

    • Establish and monitor team performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.

    • Schedule and evaluate maintenance vendors, providing feedback and performance reviews.

    • Lead commissioning projects for new equipment and ensure readiness for operational use.


    Strategic Planning & Budgeting
    • Develop annual team budgets, including critical parts and service contract budgets.

    • Support capital expenditure (CapEx) budgeting for equipment-related projects.

    • Plan and lead equipment improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.

    • Prepare for and support new facility implementation, processes, and technology rollouts.


    Additional Responsibilities

    • Oversee service contract management and vendor relationships.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.

    • Travel to manufacturing sites and vendor locations as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.

    • Minimum 3+ years of experience in operations management, with a focus on manufacturing equipment and maintenance programs.

    • Demonstrated expertise in maintenance program development, equipment performance analysis, and team leadership.

    • Experience with vendor and service contract management.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform trend analysis and implement corrective actions.

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage direct and indirect teams.

    • Proficient in budget creation, forecasting, and CapEx planning.

    • Familiarity with commissioning processes and readiness planning.

    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    • Ability to work well with/support both external vendors and  internal stakeholders.
