  Position Summary:

  We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Supervisor to lead and manage daily logistics operations across international ocean and air freight. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, experienced in supervising logistics teams, and proficient in the end-to-end use of CargoWise, including operational execution and billing. This role is vital in ensuring smooth shipment flows, strong vendor coordination, and ongoing team development.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Operations Management

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics process for air, ocean, and land (trucking) shipments.
  • Coordinate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, warehouse teams, and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient shipment handling.
  • Ensure accurate and timely shipment milestone updates, documentation, and billing through CargoWise.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all logistics transactions.
  • Analyze logistics workflows to identify cost-effective methods and improve operational efficiency.

  Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise and guide logistics team members to meet daily and strategic goals.
  • Train and onboard new staff in logistics systems, especially CargoWise, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company logistics policies and procedures.
  • Monitor team performance and implement improvements as needed.

  Customer & Vendor Management

  • Maintain proactive, professional communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal staff and external vendors for issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners to optimize service levels.

  Performance & Reporting

  • Track shipments and resolve logistics discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Generate and present monthly KPI reports for logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc logistics reports and conduct regular performance reviews to support strategic planning.

  Qualifications & Requirements:

  Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.

  Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the logistics industry, including international freight forwarding and supply chain management.
  • Solid experience with CargoWise – including operational modules and billing functions.

  Skills:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish & English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized, with the capacity to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service and vendor management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally.
  • High level of integrity, work ethic, and a sense of urgency under pressure.
