ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Working knowledge of Mexican Tax law procedures (income tax, IVA, withheld taxes).
· Prepare monthly tax calculations for all Mexican legal entities and report sent to the tax authorities which includes detailed calculation for every tax.
· Preparation of the following informative returns:
· Monthly informative return of suppliers
· Annual informative return of payments to related parties
· Annual informative return of withheld taxes
· Annual informative return of monthly VAT balance.
· Annual informative return of maquiladora operation.
· Detailed preparation of cash flow information, which will be used to determine the monthly VAT balance.
· Preparation of monthly VAT refunds for all legal entities.
· Preparation of Annual Refunds for Income Tax.
· Preparation of Annual Tax Returns.
· Calculate monthly tax accruals for current and deferred Income Tax.
· Compliance of all special regulations for Maquiladoras (VAT certification)
· Provide information to the external auditors and review the tax report done by them.
· Provide information to the external consultants and review the transfer pricing studies done by them.
· Elaboration of reconciliations related with taxes.
· Understanding of U.S. and Mexican customs process to ensure that all legal entities with importation permits stay in compliance with these regulatory agencies.
· Oversee tax requests obtained from the tax authorities and work on leverage with them to simplify the process.
· Participate on tax consultation projects to maintain the Effective Tax rate of all legal entities.
· Participate on special projects related to tax strategies that will make the group structure more efficient.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Education Required: BBAaccounting or finance. Preferred CPA
· Previous Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in General Accounting or public accounting, tax and treasury matters.
· Working knowledge of Mexico tax as it relates to income tax, deferred tax and VAT along with an understanding of the compliance requirements from the tax authorities.
· Knowledge & experience in using Office Programs, primarily Excel.
· Working Knowledge of Mexican tax laws and procedures as well as in leverage with tax authorities.
· Working Knowledge of general ledger and processing journal entries/reconciliations.
· Working Knowledge on banking transactions and using cash flow reports.
· Very strong analytical skills with problem solving abilities.
