  Expert Product Care Engineer,  Product Care Engineer – R&D 
  
   We look forward to welcoming to our R&D Product Care team a people leader with strong and proven experience in R&D. Ready to go further as team leader leading the team to ensure continuous improvement in terms of consumer experience, product cost, while following a rigorous method, and an extensive cross functional collaborative approach. 
  
  Key responsibilities: 
  As Expert Product Care Engineer
  ? Lead strategy and execution of product care module cost out activities to deliver the Food Preservation business objectives.
  ? Manage resources and schedules to ensure successful execution of projects.
  ? Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
  ? Often leads the work of project teams; may formally train junior staff
  ? Works independently, with guidance in complex situations where precedent does not exist
  ? Manages own time to meet agreed targets; may lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  ? Solves difficult or complex problems using existing solutions
  ? Apply critical thinking to understand depth of design and to predict why, when, and how designs fail.
  ? Follow a standard engineering workflow, with milestones, and specific deliverables to be complimented with an innovative, continuous improvement spirit and obsession for exceeding customer expectations.
  ? Support and drive efficiency and a high level of productivity; support building up a talented team to ensure the delivery of long-term business values.
  ? Investigate and prescribe optimized materials and manufacturing processes for a given component and sub-systems. Look beyond current material and manufacturing standards and integrate outside industry best practices and manufacturing innovation into the development. 
  ? Open mind to key sub system initiatives, innovation, and digital concept, foster proactiveness to address consumer experience.
  ? Assist in the preparation of all documentation/presentation material and provides timely communication to organization as to project status and deliverables.
  ? Ensure collaboration and synergies among the different technology teams; Create an ONE R&D Community mindset.
  ? Manages and executes special projects as assigned. 
  
  Education 
  ? You possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent through acquired technical knowledge.
  ? Specialties can range from Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
  
  Experience and skills required.
  ? 7+ years of relevant experience in R&D in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  ? Innovative mindset with a strong understanding of engineering principles, developing mechanical models, interpreting test data, and model simulation and validation. 
  ? Initiative-taker with the ability to manage your time and a recognition that quality control and problem solving cannot be sacrificed.
  ? Experience with CAD software, Catia V5 (preferred) or similar. 
  ? You are a doer with an exceptionally strong work ethic and transparency and inspire the same in others.
  ? An Expectant, positive, proactive attitude and ‘can do’ spirit to drive change and can demonstrate a history of driving for higher business performance in a fast-paced environment.   
  ? You look beyond the R&D area, thinking about the product solutions as a whole and you can proactively seek out opportunities and articulate and develop action plans to capture these opportunities.
  ? Good knowledge of production processes.
  ? Good knowledge of quality tools & reporting.
