Solicita: General Manager for Chemical Blending Plant

  The Chemical Blending Plant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the plant's operations, ensuring efficient and safe production of chemical blends while adhering to regulatory and quality standards. The General Manager will lead and develop the plant's team, manage budgets, maintain performance, cost, and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.  This will be a “greenfield” or newly leased space, which will require the Plant GM to oversee all build out and readiness activities necessary to get to Production ready.
  
  

  Responsibilities:

  • Manage “greenfield” or lease facility activities, going from site selection to production ready
  • Work closely with local resources, corporate R&D and Operations to define and execute requirements
  • Build and maintain a development budget
  • Hire key staff, manage training and readiness for staff
  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring optimal efficiency and output.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and environmental compliance standards.
  • Manage inventory and raw material sourcing.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and upgrades.
  • Ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Ensure on time delivery of goods to downstream mfg operations
  • Hire, train, and develop plant personnel.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues.
  • Promote safety awareness and training.
  • Develop and manage plant budgets.
  • Monitor production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory entities both internal to Align and external.

  Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is required
  • An MBA or a Master's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Proven track record in plant management, including production, safety, and quality.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
