  JOB SUMMARY:

  Supervise all US and Mexican customs activities for all NA Wiring locations.  Review and audit compliance of all customs requirements with additional focus on Annex 24 asset tracking.  Assure that the customs system is being maintained correctly and used effectively.  Provide guidance and support to customs employees at the Mexican plants.

  PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  US and Mexican Customs
  • USMCA Certificates
  • Annex 24 asset tracking
  • Annex 31 inventory tracking
  • Review documentation for importations/exportations
  • Review of Customs software for integrity
  • Process and Procedures
  • Audit for customs compliance
  • Tariff classifications
  • Review external customs brokers services and costs
  • Review BOM’s
  • Process improvements and suggested changes to tariff classifications, treaties or certifications that would benefit the organization
  • Review savings to be in house broker
  • Provide guidance and support to the customs employees
  • Other activities as required

  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics
  • 6+ years US and Mexico Customs Experience
  • 5+ years Annex 24 implementation and control
  • 3+ years of Supervisory experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
