  GENERAL SUMMARY
  BRP offers a career opportunity as Senior System Administrator; customer oriented, good collaboration with teammates, experience working with multi-functional teams, responsible for provisioning, installing, configuring and providing maintenance of systems hardware, software and related backend infrastructure for servers and storage.
  
  EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • College Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields. Or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience
  • Experience with High-Availability environments
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English).
    
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Excellent knowledge on infrastructure technologies (servers, virtualization, networking, end user computing, etc)
  • Technical knowledge of current networking hardware (routers, switches, access points, etc.),
  • Windows and linux operating systems experience
  • Good knowledge of at least one Escrituraing language
  • Server and SAN storage hardware experience
  • Virtualization experience (VMware)
  • Data Protection experience
  • Knowledge of system security techniques
  • High level of analytical and independent problem-solving abilities, self-direction.
  • Strong communication skills and technical writing skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills, able to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders with differing opinions
  • Ability to provide technical support in a professional manner
  • Ability to conduct research into technical issues and products as required.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to lead IT projects by coordinating upgrade, application delivery, and a variety of other projects that may not have a dedicated project manager

    MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
  • Participates in technical research and development to promote innovation within the infrastructure environment
  • Assists project teams with planning and technical issues
  • Review purchase justifications and infrastructure cost estimates prepared by team members to ensure quality
  • Prepare infrastructure proposals and papers
  • Provides support and technical assistance to operational support staff as well as all system users if needed.
  • Manage Windows and Linux Servers, Active Directory Domain Services, Email systems, VMware technologies, SCCM, SAN storage, high availability systems and Microsoft Azure.
  • Configure, monitor, and manage Backup Software, Servers, Patch Management, Anti-Virus.
  • Lead in assigned incident’s resolution and documentation
  • Monitor the performance of servers, software and hardware
  • Approve detailed technical designs and if required, update the technical documentation
  • Review and approve technical quotes received from vendors
  • Review and approve technical documentations and procedures
  • Provide level 3 support for service desk
  • Provide off-hours on call support for critical production systems if necessary
  • Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to the standard ISO9001: 2015.
  • Comply with safety rules according to the function.
  • Comply in time planned training related to Quality and Training.
  • Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
