Solicita: EHS Specialist

  RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Evaluate existing risk assessment with the EHS team to support our Risk Reduction target year over year.
  2. Verify that safety equipment such as fire detection system, extinguisher, machine guarding, PPE and other defenses are available to employees and monitor their use of such equipment to ensure proper fit and usage.
  3. Continuously drive inspections of the workplace for EHS hazards such as exposure to chemical, mechanical, industrial hygiene, biological, etc. hazards and test defenses or suggest new ones to be implemented to reduce risks at the workplace.
  4. Advise and learn from users for PPE selection, supply, use, maintain in good condition and ensure availability of all safety supplies and PPE equipment.
  5. Maintain all required records and documentation in coordination with the leadership.
  6. Assist EHS team in data trending and analysis.
  7. Examine credentials, licenses, or permits to ensure compliance with site licensing requirements.
  8. Facilitate site specific Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Training requirements (delivering/tracking completion, etc.). Positive networking with engineering and manufacturing teams for new product introductions as well as transfers of work.
  9. Own or actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities
  10. Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures and rules. Comply with EHS regulations and policies; identify and report any EHS concern and support on corrective actions.
  REQUIREMENTS: 
  

  1. Engineering bachelor degree or equivalent from a STEM career
  2. 1 year of experience understanding EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.  
  3. Ability to communicate well and work with others.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e.: Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word, etc.
