  Requirements

  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field of study, plus at least a minimum of 5 years related experience on this position.
  • Ability to define problems
  • Ability to manage multiple improvement projects and support company initiatives.
  • Experience and proven success in Lean manufacturing environments, TPM, PM, managing by facts and hands on.
  • Proactive, form teams oriented and interact with multifunctional teams.
  •  Out-of-the-box problem-solving.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and support these systems as needed.
  • Time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software applications; order processing systems; project management software, manufacturing software and database software
  • Leadership and Communication skills.

  Job Functions

  • Provide engineering & technical leadership to the manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and drive Process Control Plan for all operational areas.
  • Develop and deploy statistically capable processes – in alignment with process control plan and ensure controls required are defined and followed via standard work/process.
  • Assists with development and coaching of maintenance staff. Implement Poka Yokes, TPM, PM and Predictive Maintenance.
  • Support industrial engineering function for standard costing and capacity analysis.
  • Participates in annual planning (budget) and execution of capital spending for the business.
  • Participates and supports the Engineer Change Order (ECR/ECN) process.  
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through defined approach methodologies.
  • Develops work instructions and manufacturing standards for all manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Initiates statistical process control techniques (and charting methods) and utilizes them to monitor on-going production programs, with the goal of eliminating process variability.
  • Champions the layout at plant level and project level to ensure alignment with space utilization and flow strategy across the plant by conducting layout kaizen events, leading layout revision meetings and getting approval from decision committee.
  • Implements the lean tools in the site such as (Value Stream Map, 5S’s, Kaizen, Set Up reduction, Cost Outs, Error Proofing, Material Flow, standard work, TPM, etc.)
  • Champions the capacity analysis for all commodities, identifies gaps and opportunities to meet requirements and coordinates how to fulfill the gap with the functions involved.
  • Champions the ideas programs from the Promotion, evaluation and facilitate the execution of the ideas program as well as the recognition to the submitters.
