  • Descripción y Requisitos

          I.         Job Summary:

    1. Responsible for the inspection of all incoming parts from supply chain companies and internally produced components, Will have people and budgetary management responsibility. Overall Purpose of the Role: Provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality. Develop quality-process links with customers Online with the Quality Management system  , Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Controls Plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) processes and oversee continued compliance and embedding across the business,. Work proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Employees, to maintain a programmer of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility. Lead a 'correct at source' and problem solving methodology (Lean). Lead the team to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Development.

         II.         Primarily Job Responsibilities (Enlist between 5 and 10) if any responsibility requires to enlist few activities under the responsibility annotate them as sub index (f.e 1.2,1.3 etc.)

    1. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
    2. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Quality activities General and Task Management * Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance
    3. Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
    4. Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures
    5. Champion a program for the implementation and sustainment of a continuous improvement culture
    6. Act as a point of contact for warranty issues
    7. Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns in new customer contracts
    8. Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
    9. Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
    10. Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
    11. Undertake internal and process audits of the Quality Management System (QMS)
    12. Management of the Quality Engineers and Technicians in the sign-off of parts and the resolution of internal/external quality concerns
    13. Establish and refine quality sign-off instructions, standards and documentation
    14. Report against agreed quality metrics on a monthly basis
    15. Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build quality
    16. In conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function, reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area quality
    17. Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
    18. Produce written reports and make presentations
    19. Undertake continuous training and development
    20. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
    21. Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact
    22. Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
    23. Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
    24. Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
    25. Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
    26. Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting
    27. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
    28. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
    29. Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department People Management
    30. Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability
    31. Manage, coach and develop a high performing Quality Operations team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
    32. Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels
    33. Motivate and coach the team to operational success
    34. Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
    35. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
    36. Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments
    37. Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware
    38. Provide technical expertise to the team
    39. Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements Financial and Budget Control
    40. Input and hold responsibility for Quality budgets
    41. Responsible for achieving budget and forecast
    42. Prepare the annual Quality budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects Relationship Management
    43. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
    44. Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Quality strategy
    45. Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on engineering design and development. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost
    46. Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality issues
    47. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
    48. Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements
    49. Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally to the Company, in relation to Quality matters, Self-Management.
    50. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
    51. Support encourage and develop team

    14. Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
    15. Significant experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
    16. Experience of working in Quality Assurance
    17. Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills
    18. Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers

     

       IV.         Education:

    1. Engineering degree.

         V.         Work Experience:

    1. 10 to 15 years of progressive responsibility experience in quality/manufacturing/design environment. 
    2. 5 years’ experience in supervisory/leadership role.
    3. Understanding Automotive Quality System Standards, quality tools and strong leadership skills.
    4. Five year experience on APQP minimum.

       VI.         Certifications / Training:

    1. PM-APQP
    2. VDA
    3. IATF 16949
    4. English 80% at least

      VII.         One of the responsibilities of all employees is to contribute to the conservation of the environment (ISO 14001), through:

     

                              Generally responsibility as an individual contributor:

    1. Report water or oil leaks in machines to the EHS department.
    2. Report the lack of environmental badges to the EHS department.
    3. Turn off equipment when they are not being used, includes offices if applicable.
    4. Dispose correctly without mixing of Hazardous and Non-hazardous waste (Cardboard, plastic, etc).
    5. Respect the quality rules at all times to reduce the generation of scrap.

    Responsibilities leaders, supervisors and middle managers:

    1. Report water or oil leaks in machines to the EHS department.
    2. Report the lack of environmental badges to the EHS department.
    3. Turn off equipment when they are not being used, includes offices if applicable.
    4. Dispose correctly without mixing of Hazardous and Non-hazardous waste (Cardboard, plastic, etc).
    5. Respect the quality rules at all times to reduce the generation of scrap.
    6. It is responsibility to report any of the above mentioned to the EHS or Security Department or your immediate supervisor
    7. Establish specific actions for the reduction of scrap in the lines
    8. Make sure that the segregation of cardboard and plastic is respected in the specific containers and identified for that purpose.
    9. Report immediately any oil and / or air leaks to the maintenance department in the equipment that concerns them.

    VIII.         Accountability and Authority of the position:

    1. Authority to stop the line when the requirement for the product or sub assembly is not met.  Authority to return material from the warehouse for inspection when is determined that the parts do not comply with the minimum specifications required by the customer or internal procedures.
