I. Job Summary:
Responsible to manage the proper Die Maintenance activities, as well as the proper stock levels of spare parts.
Assure the support to the production line, making sure that they perform the function and tasks required to assure the resources and conditions to fulfil the production requirements.
Promote the collaboration and joined effort of all the team member towards the continuous improvement.

- Responsible for the achievement of goals of the Key Process Indicators (KPI).
1.1. S- Safety and environmental, by creating a safe environment
1.2. Q- Quality by controlling dies within spec
1.3. D- Delivery By improving die condition to meet KPI
1.4. H- Human Resources. Supervision of Process team and training activities for all the team
- S- Safety.
2.1. Assure the employee training in: safety devices (safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, sleeves, Hard Hat, Crane Use and Rigging and lifting equipment).
2.2. Assure that all employees follows the use of safety equipment and rules and apply the corrective actions derived of any deviation.
2.3. Report verbally and immediately report any accident or incident to the medical department and maintenance whenever it applies. Formally communicate any safety event to the Production coordinator and Business Unit Manager (BUM), participate in the accident investigation, and prepare safety reports.
2.4. Stop the operation, report and/or escalate to the Production Coordinator/BUM and/or service departments about any unsafety condition in the work area. Assure that all containment and corrective actions are implemented by the service department. Participation in the line restart after a safety event is mandatory.
2.5. Assure that all team members behave as required during Safety drills.
2.6. Supervise and maintain intervention limits in machinery and equipment (do not surpass limits allowed).
2.7. Responsible to properly track daily/weekly/monthly all metrics associated with this specific responsibility.
- Q- Quality (Internal PPM, customer PPM and Scrap).
3.1. Improve Die Conditions that might run out of tolerance and improve existing ones to aim Zero defects.
3.2. Supervise the enforcement of quality reaction plan,
3.3. Responsible to properly track daily/weekly/monthly all metrics PM Completition, Die Rotation, Others
3.4. Actively participate on QRQC Level1 and lead the technical portion of QRQC Level 2
- D- Delivery.
4.1. Assure the availability of dies in good running condition, assuring 4M ( Materials, Method, Machine and Man) to be able to produce good quality parts
4.2. Achieve the volumes required by Reducing the cavity-less condition of dies
4.3. Responsible to properly track daily/weekly/monthly all metrics associated with this specific responsibility.
- H- Human resources management (discipline, absenteeism and training).
5.1. Apply, with the support of HR, internal labor regulations when there are violations such as: absenteeism, uniform use, discipline, safety, environmental, quality, production, etc.
5.2. Track personnel attendance and take corresponding actions as required and supported by Human Resources.
5.3. Assure the training of the new hires and new in the operation, trained in the work instructions and Critical to Quality (CTQs), this applies also to personnel transferred temporarily or permanently.
5.4. Assure the prepare training when the following scenarios will occur: work instructions changes, operation inactivity (due to: days out, absenteeism, turnover, etc), customer complaints or required by the quality system.
5.5. Assure training in the handling of non-conforming material.
5.6. Assure training in new projects or new production or service lines.
5.7. Assure the integration of new hires or transferred personnel in daily routines such as: team involvement, work schedule, lunch hours, etc.
5.8. Enforce Strict Adherence to all Nidec rules and regulations.
5.9. Attention to improvement suggestions and complains and turn them to the appropriate channels to give response to the employees. Promote communication among the team.
5.10 Responsible to properly track daily/weekly/monthly all metrics associated with this specific responsibility.
III. Competences required to perform the job (functional and interpersonal skills):
- Professional Competences: TS 16949, VDA 6.3, 3Q6S Knowledge, Auto Quality Matrix, productivity, QRQC, product functionality, line process, PFMEA, cycle time, product quality, PDCA methodology, poka-yoke, one piece flow, equipment maintenance, lean manufacturing techniques, training methodologies, labor law, Tress, MS office, others.
- General Competences: Leadership, communication, conflict resolution, team work.
- English, TOIC Test results: Speaking level 6 (130-150) and Writing level 7 (140-160).
IV. Education:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanics, Electronic, Materials, Mechatronics, Robotic engineering or High school and specialized training in the area.
V. Work Experience:
- At least 5 years on Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance. (necessary)
- At least 3 years on Automotive Industry. (necessary)
- Candidate with no bachelor degree requires 10 years of experience in Process engineering role. (necessary)
- At least 3 years in Die Casting area maintenance. (necessary).
- At least 3 years in Machining area maintenance. (necessary).
VI. Certifications / Training:
- Die Maker certification (as a plus).
- Leadership certification (as a plus).
