Missions and Objectives:

A key Aerospace company is looking for a Program Manager (PM) dedicated to one of our critical and essential suppliers, in Juarez, Mexico. The PM will manage significant project development initiatives, and coordinate/interface with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to continuously improve their maturity level in order to guarantee that the cost, quality, and on time delivery performance is in line with final customer expectation. It is imperative that the PM ensures program deliveries, customer/business satisfaction and quickly resolves/mitigates potential problems that arise aligning with business objectives.

Duties and responsibilities

The Program Manager will:

  • Manage an effective development process

  • Manage risk and the KPIs of the supplier

  • Anticipate/be proactive of issues that could affect delivery and quality

  • Provide best assessment of situation(s) to senior management

  • Ensure the completion of program milestones on time

  • Update Program Timeline documents with Audit & Verification results     

  • Develop and lead correction activities with supplier departments that affect delivery

  • Conduct Audit/Verification activities in order to factually determine progress and /or completion of tasks

  • Create and maintain project documentation

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field

  • Requires 3 plus years of project management and operational experience in aerospace/automotive industry

  • Requires fluency in English. Spanish is a plus

  • Requires 3 plus years of solid operational experience: in surveillance and supplier development within a purchasing/logistic/quality industrial organization

  • Experience in Continuous Improvements and/or Lean Process Development


  • Proven Project Management skills  within a supply chain/manufacturing environment

  • Quality Background: Including PPAP, APQP

  • Lean Project Management – Experienced in leading workshops using lean methodology. With demonstrable experience of working with Quality/Lean Tools (FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, 5W, Ishikawa etc.) and delivering sustained improvements

  • Strong Negotiation Skills demonstrated at senior management level

  • Advanced Problem-solving skills - ability to analyze a problem and determine if driven by design, supplier other factors in a timely fashion and to make calculated risk decisions when ambiguity is a factor.

  • Demonstrate leadership, influencing, teamwork and effective conflict resolution (drive change, conduct workshops) with strong communication skills at all levels of management internally and at supplier facility (written and verbal) 

  • Proven ability to work tactically with a strategic objective. Including having a high level of self-motivation and job planning in order to achieve goals and meet deadlines working autonomously

  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders, supplier and external customer

  • Emotionally resilient and able to drive projects effectively for excellence against demanding targets in a complex, multi-disciplined environment

  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment

  • Proficiency in office MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Ability to periodically cross into USA-MEX to conduct meetings/Work
